The 5th Wheel Camper offers maximum of living space with all the comforts of home.

The trailer is towed by a pickup truck equipped with a special hitch in the truck bed. These bi-level units provide a great living quarter where the master bedroom rises over the truck bed. This style provides more room in the "living" area of the unit and features often a large picture window at the rear for panoramic views.

The biggest advantage for travelers is that the trailer can be detached from the tow vehicle. It gives you the freedom at your destination to use your truck for shopping or sightseeing excursions. All the conveniences of home are built into a fifth-wheel for sleeping, showering, dining, cooking and entertainment.

Some feature a slide-out option, which move the RV wall outward at the touch of a button, a distance of up to 1 meter (3 ft) to create larger living areas. With its additional headroom too, they can be the most spacious of all the RVs.

Towing a Fifth Wheel is much easier and much more stable than towing another type of motorhome. The hitch being placed in the pickup bed and directly over the rear tires of your tow vehicle contributes to improved traction and handling.
